Overview
What this means for you.
A Canadian study permit lets you live in Canada while you complete a program at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI). It is not a visa on its own — most students also receive a visitor visa or eTA that lets them enter the country.
We help you choose a program that matches your goals, your budget and your long-term plan to stay in Canada after graduation. Our job is to remove the guesswork so you can focus on getting accepted and arriving ready to study.
Most of our students apply through the Student Direct Stream (SDS), which is the fastest way to get a study permit if you are from an eligible country and meet the language and funding requirements.
Eligibility

- Clean criminal record and a valid medical exam where required
- Clear plan to return home after studies (ties to your home country)
Process
How we move your file forward.
Step 01
Pick the right program
We compare DLIs, intake dates and PGWP eligibility so your program leads somewhere — not just to a refusal letter.
Step 02
Build your file
We draft your statement of purpose, organize proof of funds, and double-check every form before you sign.
Step 03
Submit and track
We file through IRCC's portal, monitor your case, and respond to any procedural fairness letters on your behalf.
Step 04
Land and study
We brief you on what to expect at the airport, your study conditions, and how to keep your status in good standing.
FAQ
Questions we hear every week.
Still wondering about your specific case? A 30-minute consultation is the fastest way to get a real answer.
Book a consultationSDS applications are usually processed in about 4 to 8 weeks. Regular study permit applications can take 8 to 16 weeks depending on the visa office and time of year. We give you a realistic timeline at your first consultation.
Yes. Most full-time students at a DLI can work up to 24 hours per week off campus during classes and full-time during scheduled breaks. The work right is built into your study permit — you do not need a separate work permit.
SDS is a faster processing stream for students from countries like India, the Philippines, Vietnam and others. You need a higher language score, a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) of CAD $20,635, and paid first-year tuition. Most files are decided in under 8 weeks.
Often, yes. Your spouse may qualify for an open work permit and your children can attend Canadian schools without their own study permit. We handle the family applications together so everyone arrives at the same time.
Most students apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), which gives you up to 3 years of open work experience in Canada. That experience is the most common path to permanent residency through Express Entry.
