Overview
What this means for you.
A Canadian work permit lets you take a job in Canada legally. Some permits are tied to a specific employer, while others — like the PGWP or a spousal open work permit — let you work for almost any employer in the country.
We help you figure out which type of permit you qualify for, what supporting documents you need from your employer, and whether you need a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) first.
Our team also represents Canadian businesses that want to hire foreign talent. We manage recruitment compliance, wage analysis, and the full LMIA submission to Service Canada.

FAQ
Questions we hear every week.
Still wondering about your specific case? A 30-minute consultation is the fastest way to get a real answer.
Book a consultationNo. Many jobs fall under the International Mobility Program (IMP), which is LMIA-exempt. Intra-company transfers, CUSMA professionals, and several youth and trade-agreement categories do not need an LMIA.
Your Post-Graduation Work Permit is valid for the same length as your study program, up to a maximum of 3 years. You can only get a PGWP once in your lifetime, so timing matters.
Not without applying for a new work permit. Until your new permit is approved, you must keep working for the employer named on your current permit. We can usually file an expedited change-of-employer application.
Online applications outside Canada are usually processed in 6 to 16 weeks. Inside Canada and at the port of entry (for eligible nationals), it can be much faster. Timelines change often — we give you the current numbers at your consultation.
Yes. Spouses of most skilled workers and international students can apply for an open work permit and work for any employer in Canada.
